how can Select auto category by file type?

Example :

I have a category "book" .
when I upload a pdf file I want to auto add the pdt file to book category.

You can specify in the menu item to upload to a specific category.

Hi,
an auto assigning based on a file type is not possible.
Only what Colin already had written.
