Using jdownloads 3.2.17 and latest joomla 3

I am trying to use the new content plugin in a module, like this:

{jd_file onlinelayout==Top downloads}{jd_file hottest==5}

I have already created a File layout named Top downloads.

When the module does not have "prepare content" enabled, the module just shows {jd_file onlinelayout==Top downloads}{jd_file hottest==5} , so I guess it doesn't get parsed.

When I enable "prepare content" I get this: Fatal error: Using $this when not in object context in /public_html/plugins/content/jdownloads/jdownloads.php on line 1372

It is planned to publish ~~today~~ this weekend the next beta version.
