Title: Large Downloads do not finish
Post by: FlyingDutchman on 23.11.2014 19:49:30
Hello,

when downloading large files, the download gets aborted after a while.
I Have a file of 1,5 GB and the downloads breaks between 100 mb - 350 mb. Any ideas why?

Ok, found my stupid mistake  ::)
max_execution_time was set to low.
Since files are send using php, this value should be set high with large files.

EDIT:
=/ Did not work, was able to download 500mb, but than it stopped again

Hi,
please check the documentation. I know that only a few users had this problem in the last years and always was the reason bad server settings.

Please note that the new version supported the 'resuming' function. But only when the server supported this also.
Have you defined any limitations in the jD User Groups Settings?

Can not test it right now, but as i remebered the resuming-function did not work for FireFox (can be an issue caused by one of my many addons). In IE it did work.

Server settings should be OK. But will triple check that next week. Gotta say, IIS 7 is in some parts a struggle.
