I created a backup in jDonwload 2.5.16 on Joomla 2.5.27. I restored this backup to JDownloads 3.2.16 Beta on Joomla 3.3.6.
The jDownload 2.5.16 on Joomla 2.5.27 is on local host. All the categories are accessable for the public, no problems. After the import of the backup in jDownloads 3.2.16, there are no public access for download.
I checked the global public access for jDownload (download allowed). I set every category and file to public access. Also i debuged the public user group for access rights, its look as described in
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/show-permissions-overview and
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/jdownloads-acl-notes-2.
If i create new downloads or categories the download access are as expected.
Is this problem known or is there a workaround?
Hi korky,
QuoteAfter the import of the backup in jDownloads 3.2.16, there are no public access for download.
You mean 'no access' to view it, or not the permissions to download the file?

Here is listed only the permissions for special actions, not for the 'view access'.

Maybe is this the problem. I must look in the source code. ::)
Hi
Are the User Groups in the Joomla 3 site the same as in the Joomla 2.5 site. The names maybe the same but if you created new user groups the IDs may well be different.
Colin
After the last post of ColinM I renamed the public user group and after that i changed the download access of the categories and downloads again. And the warning is gone! Thank you for the tip.
