Hi,
Is possible to disable Uncategorised option in select category list of new document form?
I don't want that user is able to upload file in Uncategorised category.
Thanks a lot.
Any help for this? :(
Hi
Apologies for delay but I missed your query
If you look in Config - Front End you will find an option to exclude Un Categorised from the pull down lists. Let us know if that is what you were looking for.
Colin
Hi Colin,
thanks a lot for yours feedback.
I have set Also include a link for 'Uncategorised Only' to No but this setting hide only Uncategorised file from browse view.
So a normal user (without upload perms) can't see/browse Uncategorised files but user with upload perms still to view Uncategorised option in form upload and can upload file as uncategorised file.
I want deny also upload file in uncategorised category. My english is not very good.
I hope is clear for you.
I'm using JD 3.2.16 Beta
Hi.
I want to add to the categories header my own custom components, that will show different images and react tot mouse clicks. The components should be distinct for every category.
How can I do that?
Thanks.
Kirill.
Hi
There does not seem to be a way to do this at the moment. It is tied up with permissions which are being re-worked.
The 'uncategorised' category is rather special as it is to enable users to upload complete downloads and then for the admin to be able to allocate to appropriate categories. I appreciate this is not what you want. Will come back to this topic when the Permissions have been sorted out.
Hi Colin,
My users upload files itself in private area and in theirs private category. For now I have set to "NO" "Also include a link for 'Uncategorised Only'" and insert a warnig for don't upload files in 'Uncategorised' because in this way theirs files will be "lost".
I hope that when Permission have been sorted out I will be able to disable it.
Thanks a lot again for your feedback.
Seems that we need an additional option in the user groups settings? ::)
Will be great to have it.
The problem is that we must for it also change the language files. And all translators must do it again. :-\
I can to volunteer to do it only for the Italian language :'(
All translations are managed on transifex.com.
