I've just gone through upgrading my website and somewhere along the line jDownload stopped email on file upload.
my site was initially J!3.1.5 and jDownloads 1.9.2.11, the email on file upload was working.
I then followed the 'How To' and upgraded to J!3.2.7 and jDownload 3.2.14 (I think). I'm pretty sure the email on file upload was still working at this point.
I then updated all extensions through Joomla extension manager / update, including J!3.3.6 and jDownload 3.2.1.5. Email on file upload no longer sends email. I check with host and there is no record in logs. I have also tried changing Joomla phpmailer to SMTP for testing and no change, it still does not send.
Has anyone seen a similar problem. I'm not totally sure if the problem is with Joomla or jDownloads.

i have not read before here any problems with the e-mail notification function.
So i can not confirm this currently. Between 3.2.14 and 3.2.15 have we also not changed anything in the e-mail functionality. ::)
