Title: Changes to file size and type not reflected in front end upload form
Post by: pheinrichs on 28.09.2014 06:55:58
Using version 3.2.12.  Under Uploads Configuration, I change the file size to 30mb and have set the file types to zip, rar, pdf, doc, txt,xl,xls, docx,ZIP,RAR,PDF,DOC,TXT,XL,XLS,DOCX.  However, on the front end, the upload form states that max file size is 5120KB and file types are limited to zip, rar, pdf, txt.

Is this a bug or have I done something incorrectly?

Thanks for all your hard work!

Hi
The Configuration Uploads settings are for uploading via the Back End.  The Front End items are set up in User Group settings so that you can have different things for different groups.  In User Group settings make sure you use a Ranking - see FAQ for more info
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/which-user-group-is-used?category_id=30  for which user group settings will be used

and http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/introduction-to-user-group-settings?category_id=30 for more general info on user groups

Incidentally what is file type xl?

Colin

Thanks for pointing that out.  All good now.  The .xl was an error on my part (thanks for pointing that out too.)
