Hi,
When I try to download more than one file, I get only the following message:
Fatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found in /web/htdocs/www.***mysite.it***/home/components/com_jdownloads/helpers/jdownloadshelper.php on line 1783
It's the same issue than it's in this post http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7005.0, and http://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=7175.msg27830#msg27830, but I've not been able to solve the problem following these instructions.
I'm running Joomla 3.3.3 stable version
I'm using Jdownloads 3.2.9 beta version.
Thank you very much in advance for your help,
gcal
Hi!
I thought that was worth adding to my previous post that:
1) I tried to re-install both Joomla 3.3 and Jdownloads 3.2 several times, but I got the same error message.
2) I replaced Joomla 3 with Joomla 2.5.24, installing jDownloads 2.5.13 beta, but I got the same error message when attempting to download several files at once;
3) using jDownloads 1.9.1.5 stable on Joomla 2.5.24 multiple downloading works correctly!
If it was possible to update both Joomla and jDownloads to newer version keeping the possibility of downloading more than one file at once , it would be perfect.
Thanks for your work and your help,
Gcal
Hi Gcal,
sorry for the delay.
QuoteFatal error: Class 'ZipArchive' not found
Please go to the 'System Information' page in your Joomla backend and check the zip settings in the 'PHP Information' TAB. Search here whether
Zip is on your server installed.
Quote3) using jDownloads 1.9.1.5 stable on Joomla 2.5.24 multiple downloading works correctly!
The old version comes with a own zip library but this has some limitations so it is not longer use in the new version.

Hi Arno,
thanks for your kind answer and useful explanations.
I checked my PHP and, as you had suspected, Native ZIP was NOT enabled.
Accessing control panel of my domain, I changed my PHP settings, selecting those marked as "Setting optimized for Joomla Applications".
Now, ZIP appears to be enabled, as in the screenshots I attach you: the first of which shows my PHP version, the second my ZIP setting, and the third some other PHP important settings.
As a consequence, things have changed in the frontend when I attempt to download several files at once: instead of getting a blank page, on which only the error message of my previous post is displayed, I obtain the downloads list, but there is still an error in creating the zip file, as in the fourth screenshot I attach you.
As far as the limited purposes of my site are concerned, I can continue using the older version of jDownloads, that works correctly. Nevertheless, if the problem was not too tricky, it would be good to fix it!
Thanks for your help, best regards,
gcal

Hi Arno,
following your advice, I activated Native Zip function on my php.
Afterwards, I re-installed both Joomla and jDownloads.
Now, multiple downloading works correctly.
Thank you very much for your kind help,
