Title: separate folder for each new user
Post by: captainandy14 on 13.06.2014 14:10:55
hi

I apoligise if the question is already there and a solution too but i searched and could not find. My question is, I want jdownloads to create new folders for each new user and upload files there and not in a central folder  ..is that possible?

Hi
Such a facility, called Use a Private Files Area in User Group Settings, is still "'under test".

Users will need to belong to a group for which this function is active.  jDownloads will then automatically creates a separate subfolder (sub Category) for each member of the group. This folder will exist as long as the user's account exists.

Implementation of this feature is 'interesting' as there are several 'challenges', especially if a user belongs to multiple groups.

Hi,
the 'Use a Private Files Area' functionality will be ready first with version 3.3.

Every user can only have a single private folder. So it is not really a challenge, but much work. ;)

I think this is not really possible as it required much work to add this functionality.
