Title: Control panel
Post by: alfcapuano on 26.06.2026 19:44:48
Hello.
Since I installed version 4.1.5 the Control Panel does not work well for me (with the previous version everything worked).
I upload files via FTP: launch the Ceck, it warns me that there are new files, but when I tell it to make the changes permanent, it tells me that everything is ok but it does not record the new downloads (the individual downloads do not appear and the corresponding category remains empty).
Thank you.

Hi,
Not sure I understand. What is 'Ceck'?
Why not use the jD facilities to create a Download (or Category) in the backend. When creating a Download jD will automatically upload the nominated file.
There is an article in the documentation called 'Create a Download in the Backed'
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation?view=article&id=293:create-a-download-in-the-backend&catid=26
Also an article for creating Categories.

I apologize if I didn't explain myself well. I know how to upload a download or category in the backend. JDownloads provides a "Check download area" option in the backend Control Panel that allows you to scan the download folders you've created and detect new files added via FTP. When you need to upload a large number of files, this feature is very convenient because it speeds up an otherwise lengthy process. I've always used this feature, but now it's no longer available.

Hi
The facility is still there but it is organized a different way!
You now need to jD Control Panel and click on 'Check Download Area'. This takes you to the 'Check Download Area' panel. This has a 'Run Scan' Button.

In my testing, the report advised I had nine new files, which were listed, together with a message that they could be added to the database as Downloads.
I will check the documentation and amend as appropriate.
Best wishes

PS I modified the documentation, specifically article Control Panel Overview.

Hi.

Thank's for attention and help.
