I'm having a problem with the icons in the jDownloads tree module. When I click on a branch, they disappear. The problem is that the path to the images refers to the document root, not the site root. I tried to fix this, but I couldn't get it to work properly.

I do not quite understand the explanation of the problem!!! Could you please explain what you mean by 'document root' and 'site root'.
The images for the Tree Module are held in /modules/mod_jdownloads_tree/jdtree/images/
For example the folder image (folder.gif) reference is
/modules/mod_jdownloads_tree/jdtree/images/folder.gif
