Joomla 5.3.2
PHP 8.2
JDownloads 4.0.47

Everything works, but when I scan the full folder, it detects all the folders, subfolders and files, but click make the changes permanent, it errors 500.

Looking through the forum, I have checked as best I can plugins that are not compatible, but can not find any way to determine which if any plugin is causing the issue

Do you have the Akeeba Admin Tools installed?
If so then please look at article Admin Tools and jDownloads

I do not have the admin tools. I also get the messssage on the dashboard that I cannot create categories, but permissions on all folders and sub is 755 as needed
