Title: 500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong
Post by: treat2day on 24.07.2024 02:15:29
I am not sure this is a bug or just a nuisance.

I get this error "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong" often when using the scanning of files and folders.

The error shows up in the popup window but isn't an error on main site. I can only fix the error by taking the entire website to maintenance, then turn on debug to MAXIMUM in Joomla configuration. There is usually a component, module or plugin that jDownloads finds needs attention before file scanning can resume.

Sometimes I can figure out how to fix the error but most often I will need to wait for a response from the support team providing the component/plugin.

Attached one of the newest scanning with the error "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong"

Hi
examining the link 'administrator-component test.pdf indicates you were trying to use the jDownloads Area Check.  This works OK.
www.jones-massey.com seems tobe working OK.  I have just downloaded ok from the frontend site
So could you advise further what you are doing to cause the error report
Thanks
Colin

The backend - see image.

Need to disable component causing jDownloads scanning error "500 - Whoops, looks like something went wrong."

After successfully completing the scanning, normal operation can continue.

Now that I know what to look for, I can immediately take action to complete scanning.

Just wanted to leave a note it occurs with no specific component causing error on other domains too.
