Good morning,
I have migrated my joomla website from version 3.9 to 4.3.2. I followed the manual to migrate jdownloads as well and now I have two problems.
First, In joomla 4 there is no longer the option to add the single article module. Before I had an article with the syntax {jd_file file==163}, and then I created a module to load that article so that I could see it together with others on the same page. Now this option is not available. I have tried to create a custom module, but the syntax does not work. As now the template uses sp page builder, I have also tried with several addons, but I can't get any of them to recognize the jdownload syntax. Do you know with which option this can be replaced?
On the other hand, I had created within the registered group, two other groups that could download. But now I always get access denied. Before in jdownloads permissions, the permission to download these user, now this permission is shown as: not allowed (blocked) and even if I try to change it, it won't let me. when I finished the migration of jdonloads there was a message with a button "change default permission setting", but I had a problem in the pc and I could not do it and it has not come out again, I do not know if it is because of this, and how I can fix it now.
Thank you very much for your help.
Hi
I do not quite understand :(
The option to include {jd_file file==163}, where 163 is the specific id of the Download,in an article is avaiable. What I do not understand is "I created a module to load that article so that I could see it together with others on the same page." Also sp page builder is not related to to jDownloads.
It is possible that during the upgrade to J4 and jD 4 that the id of the Download has changed. What has changed in the JCE editor and Tiny MCE is the location of the buttons, they are now in a pull down with the name 'CMS Content'. If you use Code Mirror they are still shown as Buttons. Hope this Helps, or have I misunderstood?
I will make some additions to the Content Article

Best wishes

Hi,
I try to explain myself better.
The page where the downloads are displayed, is composed of several modules that are displayed on that page, not a specific article.
In joomla 3.9 I created a single article type module, as shown in the following image (articles-single.png) and it was shown on the page. And it is in this module where I linked the article. Now in joomla 4 this option does not exist. (joomla-4-modules.png)
As I can't link the simple article, I tried to put the jdownloads syntax in a custom module, in a sp page builder module... but then what I get on the screen is directly the plain text.
If I create for example a module type articles, showing the category of downloads and then click on that link, and takes me to the content of the article and that's when it shows me that I have no permissions. But this is not the behaviour I want. I want it to be displayed directly when I enter that page. I don't know how to do it now in joomla 4.
I hope I have explained myself better.
Regards,
Hi,
Sorry, yes, you really did understand me. Indeed, with your explanation and the link you gave me, I have managed to solve it.
Thank you very much.
