Title: Problem with Jdownloads on another site. - [Solved]
Post by: danieledel on 16.05.2023 15:16:46
In another website, where I upgraded from Joomla 3.9 up to Joomla 4.3, Jdownloads update seemed perfect up to version 4.0.26 (stable), but then I discovered a strange problem. All folders in the list appear to have zero files in them: http://ogigia.altervista.org/Portale/file-scaricabili

but for example this folder contains 5 downloadable files: http://ogigia.altervista.org/Portale/file-scaricabili/category/2-applicazioni-android-di-ogigia

What may have happened? It seemed to me that everything had gone well, and that everything was perfect. What can you advise me?
Thank you and good evening.

Hi,
please read this:
https://www.jdownloads.com/forum/index.php?topic=13969.0
and install jDownloads 4.0.27. This should fix it.

Full of enthusiasm I immediately installed the new version 4.0.27, as indicated above, but the problem remains.

Also I found that if I click to update the list of directories and files with "Check Download Area" a warning says I do NOT have permission to do this, I don't understand how this is possible.
Good evening.

Hi,
nobody else has reported a problem like this. So I think it can only be the result from your installation.
Have you checked the permissions from scan.php file?

Can I get access to the backend?

The permissions of the administrator/components/com_jdownloads/helpers/scan.php file are 664 , I set them to 755 but the problem remains. I send the access data with a private message.
Thank you and good evening.

For me it seems that the used key is not correct. I will send you a PM.

Thanks for the help, I read the PM. The problem of "wrong file numbers present" remains: http://ogigia.altervista.org/Portale/file-scaricabili
It has NOT been fixed unfortunately. How can I help repairs?
Thank you and good day.
