Title: Error in Itemid reference between two languages
Post by: edu.cubells on 01.12.2022 11:11:03
Good morning,
I have a problem related to jDownloads module in Joomla.
I have a web page in two languajes (spanish and english), I have a download area in that page (altairaudio.com). The problem is that when ever I set the page in English and browse through the different folders with the selected language on english, jDownloads will select the Itemid of the menu "Desgargas" (the spanish version insted of seleccting the Itemid of the english version).
As a consequence, the address ends up looking like this:
https://altairaudio.com/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&view=category&catid=26&Itemid=117&lang=en
Instead of what it is supposed to be:
https://altairaudio.com/index.php?option=com_jdownloads&view=category&catid=26&Itemid=415&lang=en

Menu's Id for both languajes:
-"Descargas" (for spanish)  => Itemid=117
-"Downloads" (for english) => Itemid=415

As a consecuence Joomla introduces an unexisting address and the browser ends up going to the homepage.

If I unpublish the spanish menu "Descargas (Itemid=117)" the problem gets fixed for the english version.

Please help me to solve this problem as i have tried everithing and I am not able to solve this issue.

Thank you very much in advance and I will be looking for your answer.

Best regards,
Eduardo Cubells Talavera

P.S.: I am working with jDownloads version 3.9.8.6 and Joomla! version 3.10.11.

Hi
To assist I would need to access your site.
Did you look at the multilingual documentation at
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/language-related/article-on-including-multilingual-support

Is it a new multiligual site?
Will send you a Private Message (PM)

It is not a new site. The site has a few years now working. The site is altairaudio.com and the problem only occurs on the Support/Downloads secction.

Hi
Did notice that the Categories and Brochures setting has 30 files  but the Spanish  equivalent only has 27

But in the download section you navigate through the download folders in Spanish everything works correctly. While if you navigate through the folders in English you end up being redirected to the main page.
