Title: Automatic update
Post by: hans3horns on 26.10.2019 14:26:18
When I try to update through the Joomla update function I get an error about the update site. It says that I can't open the update site. I attach a screen print of the error message.

Hi Colin, I use jD 3.2.65 and Joomla 3.9.12. I still get the same error message. I even tried if installing the extension again on top of the existing installation would make a difference. It did'nt.

Update. The problem I refer to happens on this site: 3hornswebsites.nl
When I place a copy of that site on my local machine and try the update then all goes well. So the error message only occurs on the live site not the local copy. The copy by the way is made and transferred with Akeeba and Kickstart.

Hi,
please see the pics below.
Do it in this steps:
- mark all jD update sites
- click on delete
- click on rebuild

Now it should be correct. When not deactivate the wrong update item.

Following these steps didn't solve the problem. In fact, the update site got deactivated automatically. I left it so but this isn't a real solution in my mind. I will keep looking for answers.

When I read the link in your pic then he should be correct.
So I do not understand really the error message.
Try it self:
