Hi
You need to set up your NAS drive so it is web accessible. Below is a link from Synology which may help.

Many thank for your quick reply. I have already access external to my Synology NAS. Now i could find out how i put the link in JDownloads Joomla. When i have a question i let you know, also when i have the solution. I get help from ore IT department of my work so hopefully they get the right answer.
I love your JDownloads component it an amazing tool.
Hi
For me the hardest part would be getting the NAS to be seen externally!!After that then it is putting the link in the External part of the 'create upload'. I think if you can access a particular file your NAS drive from your PC then I believe that is the link needed by jD.I wrote the article below but did not have a NAS file examplehttp://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/downloads-with-an-external-file
ColinPS We always like good 'references' in the Joomla! extensions diectory. Maybe you could rate us see below on how to.
