Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Good Morning
Sorry for the English but I use a translator
I have installed version 3.9 of jdownloads I don't know how to add a file extension e.g. ( zipper, rar, pdf, txt, doc, gif, png, jpg) they already exist by default.
In addition to those already inserted I wanted to add two extensions (docx, psd)
Can someone help me where to put hands to add the two extensions?
Thanks

Hi
For the front end these are set in User Group settings Group - Creation/Editing Settings - Allowed File Types
for more info on user group seeings see
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/access-user-group-permissions-v3-9/user-groups-settings-overview-2
note the importance of the the Ranking

For the Admin then the file types are specified in Options - Uploads Tab - 'Other allowed File Extensions'
and also just above in 'Allowed Image Extensions'.

Also for both Admin and Front End you may wish to adjust Options - Global Settings - 'Which file types are to be opened in the Browser'
