Hi, I installed jDownloads as description, configured Menu, created category (3) and uploaded some Files.
Now I'd like to embed file list for specific category in my page, but found no instruction.
By google I found this {jd _file onlinelayout==Files Layout Single Line} {jd _file category==2 count==5} but this is not rendering. ::)
Hi
The jd conent plugin is used in articles
Please look at the Documentation
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9
Specifically
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/modules-plugins-v3-9/using-the-content-plugin-in-articles-and-modules
the relevant layout is 'Files Layout Single Line v3.9'
Note about using <div> .... </div> in the article not <p> ...</p>
Also of course the Content plugin needs to be enabled
Best wishes
Colin
Thank you. There was three failures:
- From examble I found in https://www.jdownloads.org/plugin-examples/13-jdownloads-content-plugin-example-2.html there is a space in key-word jd _file
- change from <p> to <div> did the trick
- I received an error message "Das Layout Standard Dateien Layout existiert nicht!". I have to set explicit jd_file onlinelayout==Standard Dateien Layout v3.9 in separate {} (not described in v3.9
BTW: This forum is misconfigured: No Favicon and http should redirected to https
HI
Glad that the change to <div> cured your problem. Thankyou for letting me know
I will let Arno know about the spaces in {jd _file onlinelayout==Files Layout Single Line} {jd _file category==20 count==5}
I suspect it needs to be an image rather than text.
Do not properly understand your comment:
Quote3. I received an error message "Das Layout Standard Dateien Layout existiert nicht!". I have to set explicit jd_file onlinelayout==Standard Dateien Layout v3.9 in separate {}
The layout you select has to be the exact name of the relevant layout. In the jD 3.9.8 series the standard layout names have v3.9 or v3.2 added. So seeing the error message is what I would expect
And what is the reference to "(not described in v3.9" ? Perhaps I could edit the documentation to emphasise the neeed to use the exact name
Colin
PS thanks for observations on the Forum - It is undergoing a major upgrade.

When I only enter (from documentation)
{jd_file category==2 count==5} I get the error (error is in German)
(http://jd_conf.png) Layout configuration see attached images.

Layout selection: Its not clear for me if I have to write
{jd _file category==2 count==5 onlinelayout==LayoutName} or
{jd _file onlinelayout==LayoutName} {jd _file category==2 count==5} because {} are missing.
Hi They are seperate lines each enclosed in separate { ..} .
Please see the images attached.
One of the challenges of articles using the Content plugin on a site that has jD active is that instead of showing the words it activates the plugin itself !!!!
