Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to have all downloads grouped in a simple list by Category headers. If this is not possible with Layouts, is it possible to write my own HTML that uses the Jdownloads file system? The Html is dead simple.

Example:

Category one
Download 1
Download 2

Category Two
Download 1
Download 2
Download 3

Edit:  Please in future use a meaningful title Thanks Colin

Hi
There is not a layout that presents the infomation that way.  An alternative is to use an article and the jD content Plugin" Show Downloads from a single or several Categories: {jd_file category==*CIDlist count==*N}
eg {jd_file category==15 count==5} will list upto 5 Downloads from the category whose ID is 15.
eg {jd_file category==15,2 count==0} will list all the Downloads in the categories with IDs 15 and 2.
eg {jd_file category==15,3,41,6 count==12} will list upto 12 Downloads from those categories with IDs 15, 3, 41 and 6.
Seehttp://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/overview-and-installation-notes-for-jdownloads-pluginshttp://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/using-the-content-plugin-in-articles-and-modules

I have done an article very quickly as an illustration see pic attached
The content in the article was as belowCategories
{jd_file onlinelayout==Files link and icon plus featured v3.2}
CAT1
{jd_file category==19 count==0}
CAT2
{jd_file category==20 count==0}
CAT3
{jd_file category==21 count==0}

The only Downside is having to add the category reference each time you add a new categoryColin
