How to truncate the download title?

Hello, I would like to truncate the download title (file_title). Please see the attached screenshot

Hi

There are two 'names' here.  The name of the downloadable file (fiile name) amd the name of the whole Download (Download Title).  When a Download is created the default Download Title is the file name.  You can change the Title to anything that you choose.  The name of the file itself is unchanged.
Presently the Shotened File Name option only works if you set the filename to 15 or more.So for a file called "Sample_Valve Box_Order_Form-en.pdf" when you set the limit to 15 it will show "Sampl...orm.pdf" as ilustrated in pic short-15.png
If you select 0, 5 or 10 as the length then the filename is shown to its full length as shown in pic short-10.png.
Will look further into this.
