On my website, we're exclusively using Username wherever it's possible (also in JD frontend via the config "User Real Name"->No), Forum, etc.
The problem is with the Edit Download / Publishing options / Created by, where the Name is displayed instead of the Username. Is there a way to have both displayed ? Or better to honor the setting in the configuration also in the backend / edit forms ?
Would also love to see the Username in a column in the Downloads listing.

Hm... i think we use here a Joomla core function. But i will check this.
Username display is also a Joomla core function, isn't it ? The thing here is to diplsay the Username and/or the Name of the uploader. Very important, as the Name is NOT unique (ie. many users may have the Name "Arno", but not the Username "Arno" (which is unique in J!). No ?
Another one, still related to Name/Username.
It seems we can not acces this data via frontend editing, and it's not selectable in the group permission setting. Correct ?
Do you think we could have this in a future update ?
