i have problem with elder version of jd (v.3.2.65) ----(Unknown column 'id' in 'where clause' 1054)
i have to use 3.9 in my site
when i use file in External File Link, download cant start with (External File Link)
it seems that jd cant read (import) file from external host.

First could you tell us what the was problem with jD3.2.65
jD 3.9 is a beta version so is still under testing. What type of external site were you trying to download from?Have you read http://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-jd3-2/general-items-v3-2/downloads-with-an-external-fileHave not yet written this jD3.9 but it should be very similar. Getting the correct link is sometimes a 'challenge'. Note that the file you are attempting to download must have suitable permissions.

i have just updated to 3.9 and its working , and Unknown column 'id' in 'where clause' 1054 error is solved but i have download issue with 3.9
i haven't any problem in associated downloading from external host in the elder versions.

Could you tell me what type of remote Download you are trying please.is it from a website? From Dropbox or similar? Then I will check out.

i am not using free external storage. its server is in Germany. it uses direct admin.
and i haven't any problem with that(remote host) in elder versions.
its good to say that:

Having looked at your picture I think that the problem is the length for the web link.
Presently only 60 characters have been allowed.I am away from my main test pc at the moment and just have a laptop with me!Could you test with a shorter filename string please.Colin

i am using jd for several years with Persian language, i haven't any problem with that( link length).
its related to utf-8 that the software (idm in my pc) does not support utf-8.
i think our problem in 3.9 is related to php script or protect functions.
something automatically is canceling downloading after 2 or 3 second.
also its interesting
when i run my site in the localhost in my pc i can download file but i cant download that in the live site.
with same setting

I do not understand! :( The images you are showing are not from jDownloads. They look like links to a Download Manager.The two links in your post are different.
It might be some difference with your browser setup.
Also look at the setting of Download Duration Restriction in the user group settings for the User Group concerned. And have you set the usergroup Ranking values ther same in both sites?Colin
my jd links doesn't assign to any menu, and when i use Send Downloads using

But have you checked the are no differences as one sit is working and the other is not.
I have assumed that you were creating a Download with a reference to an external site - see pic.IS this the situation?
But maybe are you just trying to put a link somewhere to the download manager on a different site?If so where are you putting that link?

the "allow_url_fopen" function was disabled and i enabled that and now i have no problem, it works correctly.
