Preview image for Downable Images (v3.2)

I'm now running v 3.2 on my production site. How can I provide a preview image for users to see prior to downloading a image? I would prefer a way to implement a preview that is automatically generated from the downloadable image when it's initially uploaded either from the front-end or via a batch process.

The automatic version as well as a manual version is available. Please see the Pics section of Config.

PS Perhaps you could peruse the documentation.  It is worthwhile just looking through the Config to get an idea about what is availabe!!
