Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Archive some files to different site

We archived a couple of years worth of articles to a separate site for reference. There are around 50 of these articles that have links to downloads using the {jd_file file==###} text. Is there a way to export just the downloads associated with these articles so I can move the files and related configuration to the archive site and clean these now obsolete files from the production site?

Thanks

Hi
There is no automated way of removing/updating links like  {jd_file file==###} from articles
If you delete, move or rename a file and then then run the auto monitor manually (I always test with auto-monitoring off) from the jD Control panel then the Download will automatically be unpublished.
Presently if the Download is unpublished then jD shows a message something like "Cannot find the download. ID=25"

It would be useful if there was an option to inhibit this message if the Download was Unpublished.
