URL's get lengthy and confusing. First level is perfect... when viewing a file, the URL has far too much.

should be:
http://watchawear.com/watches/watch-hands/154-spring-loaded-hour-hand.html

The first url is the standard Joomla! Sef one. If you would like a shorter one then the free plugin DirectAlias is my favourite.

With Direct Alias what happens now is it shortens the URL for the category view, It does nothing to the individual view, it stays like my previous post. I would like to remove the "download/4-watch-faces/" section from the URL.
Hmm! That's a shame. Because jDownloads uses the default Joomla! sccheme there is no quick solution. Will have to ponder and get Arno's view as it could be a siginificant amount of work.
