News:

Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hello
I'm on the latest built for Joomla 3 (Having troubles to get to 4...). I've recently switch to php 8.1

My "categories" and "files" menues are not displaying properly. I have an almost blank white page with just a few infos (See attached pix).

I'm probably doing something wrong. Can anybody help me ?

Thanks

Hi
Could be the layout you are using or that the CSS files are 'incomplete'.
Did you have any 'challenges' installing?

Maybe it is the upgrade to PHP8 with Joomla 3

Hello Colin,

I had no problem updating Jdownloads.

I don't know about the css files.

Can I use JDownloads 4.0.28 on a 3.9.10 joomla ?

Thank you

No that is impossible.

The Joomla team made a huge number of changes from Joomla 3 to Joomla 4. That is why it took so long for jD to become available
Best wishes
Colin
PS there is documention on upgrading
