The download counter does not work anymore

First of all, thank you very much for the loving product care and for the tool!
Everything seems to work fine so far, but after one of the last updates the download counter function (hit counter?) seems to be broken. Normally tables are created under jos25a_ for example jos25a_jdownloads_logs. But one of the last updates did this under a different sufix. New empty tables are created under jos25_ for example jos25_jdownloads_log and not under jos25a anymore - maybe this is the problem? Maybe the existing tables have not been updated here?

Which version of jD are you using? And which version of Joomla ?  Did you do a backup restore (Akeeba?) at some time?
jos25a_ and  jos25_ are presumeably database prefixes which would be for different instances of Joomla! so I am a bit confused.

Thanks for the answer. It was the current version. I have deleted the module from the DB and reinstalled it. With that the problem was gone.
