New in the version 1.5.2 RC 2:

  • new option to deactivate the automaticly folder name creation
  • new option to view the >Report downlod< link only for registered users
  • new option to reset all download counters to zero
Fixed in this release:
  • frontend upload form: it was possible to set the max. file size higher as the post_max_size in the php.ini
  • frontend upload form: it was possible to view the frontend upload form although it was set off
  • the file size was not always changed after download update in the backend
  • with url manipulation, it was possible to become access to unpublished categories and files. But only when not access rights was set
Update 2010-02-03:
I have fixed today a bug. So it was not possible to load multiple downloads with checkboxes.  Sorry, for the mistake. So it is recommended to update to the new version 1.5.2.1 RC2.
Update 2010-02-05:
Sometimes it came in prior versions to problems with the auto monitoring function. It was not always possible to add new founded files in the jD database table. So we have today fixed this bug in the version 1.5.2.2 RC2.

You must only update to this version, when you have problems with the auto monitoring functions and new founded files.

I would like to know how to change the file size of the file I want to add to the download section. When I want to upload a file it say that the max size is set in config file of php.ini to be 2MB.. I want to increase that. How do I do that??

Mark, you will need to change the value in your php.ini config file first. Look for the: parameter. Change it from: "max_upload_size = 2MB" to: "max_upload_size = xxMB" (replace: xx w/desired numeric value (ie: 40MB).
Alternatively, add the above change to an .htaccess file in your web root.
Second, change the value in your Joomla Global Configuration manager. Reply if you have any more questions, k? ;-D

Hope that helps
