Hello
How I can remove the "Maximum upload size:" row because it shows the Maximum allowed file size (max_filesize) from php?  I see no reason to show this with "Allowed maximum size:". I think that these 2 different constraints is pretty confusing for user who will upload a file. Attached Screenshot.

Hi
Yes having the two different constaints shown can be misleading.  This comes however from a whole series of 'problems' for users where the only limit shown is the one set in the jD User Groups Settings as many, including administrators, were unaware there is a limit due to the php settings.  Also some admins did not notice the limit in the Users Groups Settings.
The quickest fix was to show both.
An enhancement would be to show the lowest together with appropriate text indicating the source of the limitation. Perhaps with a link to the relevant article in the documentation.  So I think it is a good idea to move this topic to suggestions.

Hi
I have now looked into this further.  It is not as simple as it might seem!!  In the Front End Upload/Edit form the first value shown is the php.ini file setting of 'post_max_size'.  This message is a Joomla! message activated as part of the form input as used in the sequence below that generates the relevant executable code.  To replace that is not feasible.
<?php echo $this->form->getLabel('file_upload'); ?>
<?php echo $this->form->getInput('file_upload'); ?>
To replace or modify the above is not feasible.
Basically the output message is not under jD control!!

So we will probably change the message associated with the size from the User Groups Settings as appropriate.

Hi
The suggested message change is indicated in the attached pic
Something like "The size shown above is the PHP limit. Maximum size as set in User Groups Settings is:"
