saying files and folders are missing
« on: 24.08.2015 14:15:42 »
I have duplicated my site onto a new host, an identical copy of the site.
When I go to Jdownloads categories, I notice half are not published and upon publishing them I am told they are all missing, but when I view the actual folders on FTP I can see they are in fact there, and remember this is a duplicate

Any ideas?

I should also add that the system saying the category folders are missing is still recognizing that each category/folder has a certain number of files inside?????

Hi
Think it is saying that the database entries are not there.  Can you look into your database tables?

How many categories do you have and how many are we looking for?
Where the categories on the same host previously - I expect they were
Have you tried doing a manual 'monitor' from the jD control panel?

How did you do the duplication? Was it say an Akeeba backup?

Is this a space character problem? Or some other subtle name change?

Colin
PS just noticed this is a 1.9 series Which version are you using

sorry for the late response.

Ill go over those, but some I can answer now

No the space is not a character related issue, a simple typo
In admin all the files and folders are listed so I am presuming the DB entiries are not missing?

Hi
Yes if they are being listed in the backend then it looks like the database entries are there.  Unfotunately I do not know much about the 1.9 series

Please note that the support for the very old 1.9 series has ended!
So you should upgrade very soon to the newest series. See documentation.
