Hi
Could I ask why you want a youtube video in a custom data field?  There is already a video player possibility in the preview setup of a Download.

Maybe I am missing something?

Hi Colin, thanks for reply,
I have a Music Artists Site, and I need to use their Youtube Players because they have independent channels with independents videos, and they embed theirs codes and monetize their videos.
Too, because each artist put adsense codes (Scripts), and I dont want use the Description in Details Layout to do that, I need use Custom Data Fields.

Regards.

Hi CarontE,
you have send me a PM but i understand not exactly your problem.  :-\

The issue only happen in frontend, in backend the plugin is 100% functional and works fine, but in frontend, show the parent folder error.
Has this problem to do with this here (insert youtube video)?

I think it is not a problem to insert a youtube video in a custom text field. The easiest way should be to use a joomla video plugin.

Code is removed and not show nothing,
Please activate the general content plugin support in jD config (TAB Frontend).

But general should you soon update your Joomla to 3.x and afterwards jDownloads to 3.2.x.

@nando112

I think what you are trying to doe is insert code suvch as
Code: [Select]
<iframe width="420" height="315"
src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XGSy3_Czz8k?autoplay=1">
</iframe>
where XGSy3_Czz8k is the id of the part you want played.

So you should use a custom field to just get the id.  So suppose you use the short text custom parameter 6 and give it a field name "Youtube id is "
This field name is referenced by {custom_title_6}.  More importantly the response given by the user is referenced by {custom_value_6}

So at a suitable place in your files layout insert the following
Code: [Select]
<iframe width="420" height="315"
src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/{custom_value_6}?autoplay=1">
</iframe>

Probably best on a row by itself or even its own table.  You could extend further by having another custom fields to set autoplay.  Would suggest you leave width and height fixed.
EDIT:  Having just tried that the problem is of course that the IFRAME appears on all downloads so it would be better if it was all in the custom value.
So you could put the
