Sorry, I just missed it - have been away on holiday! So thanks for reminder.
Please note that the file name and the Download Title are two different things. The text shown on the web site in the front end is the Download title
, not the file name.
I see the filename in pic "1.png" is, I believe, in a style Persian script which tells us your host supports utf-8. If you look at the Download in the Downloads you are able to see both the Download Title and the file name as illustrated in attached pic NameChange01.png.
Ah! I forgot you are talking about Auto monitoring.
Well if you look at the Files and Folders Tab in jDownloads Configuration there is the following note
Important information: The 'auto monitoring' function always uses the results from the function: 'Remove/Change special characters in name'. This is regardless of whether the function is activated or not. So you should only use the following characters a-zA-Z0-9 ._- in the names of files and folders which are to be added automatically.
So this is a restriction at the moment because there is no facility for jDownloads to know if the web server supports UTF-8. Apparently if one tries to set a UTF-8 name on a web server that does not support UTF-8 then chaos reigns.
PS you could open a suggestion that Auto monitoring is upgraded to support UTF-8 file names, directories and Download titles.
