Problem with jDownloads Stable
« on: 10.10.2014 20:32:34 »
I am developing a website with Joomla 2.5.27. I installed jDownloads Stable to create a download area. The installation went well. But when I submit a file, I have "upload complete" (capture1). But once in File Management, I can not find any files (capture2). So I thought plugins were missing. I installed the plg_editors-xtd_jdownloads_2.0.2 and jdownloads_content_plugin_1.18. Once this last plugin was activated, my site shows "Fatal error: Call to a member function registerEvent () was non-object in C: \ wamp \ www \ lemondededieu1 \ plugins \ content \ mos_jdownloads_file \ mos_jdownloads_file.php on line 54 "(capture3). I can not deactivate it (capture4). So I'm going to uninstall extensions in Management Joomla and my site appears again.
I want to know how to make jDownloads Stable working.
Thank you.
I remind you that I am French and this text is a translation from Google translation.

i think that you have installed a wrong content plugin version for your Joomla.

But please use better the new jDownloads series 2.5.x for Joomla 2.5 from here.
It is official a beta version but nearly a first stable release.

- Uninstall your old version 1.9.x and all other jDownloads extensions.
- remove also all db tables with 'jdownloads' in the name (use for this phpmyadmin)
- after this can you install the new version 2.5.x.
Best Regards / Gruß

In Configuration - Uploads there is a field "Other Allowed file extensions:"  You need to add in mp3 and MP3.

Note also the file size limit and chunk size
