I have fitness website and I am trying to change my website HTML to Joomla. Is this possible for me?

The basic answer is yes.  The amount of effort involved depends of course on the complexity of your existing web site.  A key design issue is selecting a template.  I always go for one that has much flexibility in its layout (Number of positions in Joomla speak) and supports a nice menu system.  As you have some code in HTML then you can create Custom HTML modules, and with the use of say the Nonumber 'modules anywhere' plugins, or the system plugin {loadposition}, then you could minimise initial effort by 'carving up' your existing site into custom modules.  In the longer term however I would suggest you look at the wealth of Components, modules and plugins that do things for you so you can concentrate on content rather than always having to do a lot of hand crafted code.
