synchronisize "alternatively download"
« on: 05.04.2014 14:11:26 »
Hi Arno
Thats a copy from my idea from the topic "feature list"

The alternatively download is very nice, but it's redundant when I have to fill in 2 times the exact same information.

My input would be a synchronize button in the control panel next to "Check Download area now". In the download configuration you could build in a checkbox: for synchronize with original.
I thought a solution like this: update * from #__jdownloads... set * = $alternatively.* where file_ID = $download_ID

Would this possible? Or is it hard to find out, which database entry a file has?

Hi Arno

I just came with another idea. Maybe it's easier. For me this solution would be better for me:
When you create a category, how it would be, when you could chose an alternatively category? (Like joomla standard menu type:  Menüeintrag-Alias (german) on english maybe menu item alias.)

With this option there would be an easy way to make more ordering (like all downloads, after year, after letters and after genre)

Why will you do this? Use the feature 'save as copy' and select afterwards only the file from the first download. And that's all!  ;D

Oh yeah, thanks. Didn't thought of that  ;D
So I just need to update both changelogs files, when I update a download. But I can live with it :)
