Is it possible to add an functionality to create directories/categories in frontend upload ?

Not in the first new jD release 2.0, perhaps in a later version.

hi
i use this plugin "JSmallfib" (search it in joomla ext directory) to add new folders to jdownload directory . then use this thread to help you publish the new folders ..

I have try a fast test in this moment and it works in only 5 minutes. See Pic.
But i think you must check very accurate the access settings from the plugin.  ::)

So, it is not useful to change in this way older folder/file names!!!

EDIT:
Make sure that you set the value for this option:  Size of thumbnails to 0.   
Otherwise creates this tool a new folder with name: /JS_THUMBS in the upload root folder.
Set this option: Default JSmallfib Path to: jdownloads (your jD upload root folder)

Is there any way of doing this now? If not, Smallvoice could you tell me how you used "jsmallfib" to add extra categories?
