Is this exactly the viewed error message?

--- Quote --- an error occurred during server file transfer

Please send it with backend access data.

Arno:
Hello,
i have checked your backend:
- please make sure, that all listed folders here are writeable, also the not viewed in the pic...
- the error in the frontend upload page is viewed, as it is not possible for the script, to move the uploaded file from the php temp folder to the given target folder (in jDownloads).
So please check manually (via FTP) all exists jD category folders. Recommended is 0755 for CHMOD. Check also who is the owner from the folders. Perhaps exists here a 'wwwrun' problem (see faq).

Thanks,

I use my ftp in the cpanel to chmod a couple directories to 755 and then checked in joomla "sys info".  The "unwritable" status did not change. I even cleared joomla cashes and logout and back in.  My cpanel ftp says 755 but not joomla. Is this a joomla forum question?

Arno:
