Regarding bug report 2:
> 2. Do not upload files which strings ends with CRLF, all strings/lines
> must end with LF only, to avoid double " "
Fixed by Transifex, need confirmation by translator.
Regarding bug report 3:
> 3. Do not put empty declarations in language files, such as
> COM_SOMETHING_DEFINE=" ", this causes adding an unwanted lines in
> every language file, such as
> COM_SOMETHING_DEFINE=" "
Fixed by Transifex, need confirmation by Translator.
Regarding bug report 4
> 4. Do not use " in texts, replace them with ', example
> COM_SOMETHING_HERE="Here goes the "text"", this should look like Here
> goes the 'text'
Transifex answer (which means nothing to me, so keep use _QQ_ when u have to quote something, or ' instead of "
This does not matter any more. In Joomla 1.6 specifications, double quotes are also allowed in strings. For example,
the translation value that will be stored in db is "Value"'s". This is expected.
Regarding bug report 3, if u have other translations affected by this bug and the fix, fix causes every line to start and end with ""here goes the text"", send me PM here or there with list of applications, language, eg.
Application-name/Language - Link
few more bugs remains open, not affecting translations
1. Notifications on update on main language files (in this case, EN-GB)
2. Suggestion box to the author/maintainer of the language file, if something is not written properly in English to be replaced by the suggestions (+ votes)
3. Transifex UI bug - You can't leave team, if u are member, not coordinator :)
4. Transifex bug affecting e-commerce applications:
in some countries writing Sub-Total is ok, but in some is translated like this Total (w/o VAT) and Total is translated as Total (w VAT).
Transifex current version don't allow to add brackets if in the original string they're not exist, and reversal to avoid brackets from adding in the translated field.
(for good, jDownloads don't have ability to sell files :) )
