Hi Everyone,
We are looking for commonalities.  It appears as if there is an 'after render' problem, where the software is awaitig a response.  There sometimes seems to be a 500 error.
As yet we have not figured it out but it could be related to the version of PHP that is running or an http/https switch
Could you advise duration of your timeout please

sorry, habe es leider nicht geschafft mich über Tag noch einmal zu melden. 

Wenn du ein komplettes Backup (also ALLE Dateien des Servers UND die komplette Datenbank) vorliegen hast, brauchst du das doch nur wiederherstellen. Ich vermute du nutzt Akeeba Backup? Dann schau doch mal auf deren Webseite nach, Dort sollte alles erklärt sein. Gibt dazu sicherlich auch Youtube Videos.

HiSeveral users are reporting a slow response in the Backend of jDownloads  See

The time time varies from site to site and appearsrs to be on an 'after render' step as if something is waiting for completion like two web sits talking to each other.On some sites the delay is consistently about 60 seconds but on others it is around 30 or 40 seconds.

There is not a front end delay problem.
People who have tried one opf their test sites on XAMMP find it is  ok there, that is no delay.  So this is the first time that I have heard of it on an XAMMP site.
Could you advise ste config details database version, PHP version and so on

Hallo, Danke, ja ein Backup hab ich erstellt.
Gibt es einen Befehl, die DB zurückzusetzen damit alles nochmals neu eingescannt werden kann? Viele Grüsse

Hi,
oh, ich fürchte du hast mich da falsch verstanden. Man sollte niemals bereits erfasste Dateien versuchen manuell (also via FTP etc.) zu verändern. Denn das Resultat ist dann schnell ein Chaos. So scheint es mir jetzt bei dir. Leerzeichen sind in jDownloads auch kein Problem.

Wäre es möglich Zugang zu deinem Backend zu erhalten? Wenn ja, Daten bitte per PM. Später mehr, bin gerade in Eile.

Hi und Danke für Eure Antworten und die Hilfe,
ich blick immer noch nicht ganz durch.
Es gab tatsächlich viele Dateien mit Leerstellen Umlauten etc.
Ich habe also das ganze Verzeichnis heruntergeladen, die Dateien mit ReNamer bereinigt das alte Verezichnis auf dem Server umbenannt und das neue wieder hochgeladen. Nun hab ich einen weiteren Scan durchgeführt. Da sind viele unveröffentlichte Downloads (s. screenshot). Auf der anderen Seite gibt es Verzeichnisse die real existieren die sind auf unveröffentlicht gesetzt. Wen ich sie löschen will sagt jdownload sie können nicht gelöscht werden da noch dateien existieren. Wenn ich die Kategorie veröffentlich will, sagt das System das Verzeichnis existiere nicht etc.
Was kann ich tun? Wie kann ich die DB zurücksetzen und neu scannen?  Viele Grüsse Christoph

A huge thanks to Colin and Arno! Once again you gentlemen have assisted me in solving a problem.

After following the above documentation, I am happy to report that my site is back to normal. Arno & Colin are the best. You two not only guided me to the outcome I wanted, as always, you both helped me learn. For that I am twice as happy and thankful.

Do you still have the copy of the database entries with _backup_3_2_69' appended to the names in your database?  And do you still have all the downloadable files  in the jdownloads directory?
If yes then please, please follow the notes in
https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/getting-started-v3-9/reverting-back-to-jd3-2
If you do not have the files then it is possible to 'decode' a backup.

Yes, I have the database with the appended named entries.
Yes, I have 100% of the files.
Thank you for your help. I am devastated that this was broken. Your work has been instrumental to my website and performed very well over the many years I have used it. That leads me to the conclusion, that your software is still the best and this is a result of an unrelated issue. You and Arno are 2 of the best developers around, so let me again say thankyou.

hi all,

I have locally installed xampp (version 7.4.14.0) and joomla which works fine (frontend and backend). Now I have additionally installed jdownloads (version 3.9.7.2) and have the problem that as soon as I do something in the component (create category, save etc.) I have to fight with long loading times (about 30 sec). Does anyone have an idea what this could be? The loading times are only in the jdownloads component. If I create posts etc in the Joomla backend everything runs smoothly. Am in despair and would be happy about an idea!
