Dear Sir,

After several tests I have not been able to modify the "Single Layout Files Line v3.2" layout so that you can publish 2 files horizontally (2 columns)
It's possible?

Many thanks in advance

Hi
Are you trying to do this in an Article using the jD Plugin?

If Yes then a better layout to use is  Files link only v3.2.  Suggest you also look at
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/using-the-content-plugin-in-articles-and-modules
and also

Hi
I have quickly created a new Files layout that will display in two columns as in the attached pics.  Is this what you are looking for?

It cannot be guaranted that a pdf will display alongside its corresponding word version unless you adopt a suitable naminig convention and select sorting by Alphabetic.  Also you would need to set the number of Downloads per page to an even number.  There are still some 'rough edges' to the layout.  Note aslso that names need to be kept short otherwise they will wrap under the download button.

Walter,
2 column layout attached.  I have made some revisions to handle long names.

Remaining problem is that the download button does not shrink.  So Icould do a version with no button but you would have to ensure the name part was set as clickable to give downloading.
This is Config - Front End tab field Use files title as download link?
Note the attached file is in a zip so you need to extract it, I use 7zip for this, and Import in the Layouts - Files section .
Colin
PS if you want one without the button let me know

Walter
I have found a way to alter the button size dynamically controlled by css.  The attached file is a media controlled css file that alters the button size according to the width, in pixels, of the browser window.

Please unzip file "jd  media Custom.zip" and copy the contents of the file "jd  media Custom.css" into the jD custom.css file.
The attached pdf gives an approximate indication of the sizes based upon the original small size button as the Very Large one!!
It is not perfect but an improvement!

Hello,

Without your modification, choosing the very small download button I am satisfied.
I just had to disable "Display-block" in <img template as you can see in the attached image. Better if I could remedy this in the JD css, can you tell me how I could do?

If I add the code you suggested I see the big button

Hi
This is being bought in by your browser so is a little more challenging to resolve.  Somewhwhere further down the righthand side your 'removal' of display:block there may be another img { ....} that has a line display:'something'; in it.  it is that line we want in css below

.jd_content_wrapper img {
  display: 'something'  !important;
  }

This should be put in the jd custom.css but if it fails you may need to put in your templates custom.css

If you cannot find another img block in the css then use the css
.jd_content_wrapper img {
  display: inherit  !important;
}

The reason for including the .jd_content_wrapper in front of img is that it will then only apply inside jDownload views

Walter,
Pleased to help.
Would appreciate it if you could give jD a good review on the Joomla Extensions Directory (JED). See below for article that might help
