How to play MP4 on iPad?

I downloaded some MP4 on iPad but they can't be played. Apple clearly said that supports MP4 format, but why my iPad can't play?

You can download video player from app store. MX player is a very popular video player. You will be able to play not only MP4 but many more format as well.
