Support for jDownloads 3 has been ended
Since 17 August 2023 Joomla.org has discontinued support for Joomla 3.x. Therefore, we will no longer offer official support for our Joomla 3 jDownloads version 3.9.x from January 2024.
Please update your website to the latest Joomla version (Joomla 4 or Joomla 5) as soon as possible. Afterwards, please update jDownloads to the latest published version. The longer you delay, the more difficult the upgrade process for your website is likely to be.

Hello all!

I am trying to to edit a layout that i have created for the Standard Files Layout v3.2 , I created a copy and renamed it, my issue is that all i want to show is the

Download title, Number Of Downloads, Mp3 Duration (If possible), and my custom download image.

All in a single line, no formatting, as i like to use the formatting from my template in the articles. I have been trying to work at this, but it is more difficult than i though.

Any help is appreciated.  thanks. 8)

Hi
By
Quotemy custom download image
do you mean the picture set up in Config - Picture tab - Default image for Downloads?  I assumed you do.

Thought it simpler to just make a layout that I think you are wanting. For the following you must be on at least jD v46

Attached is a zip file with a very simple layout that creates a layout like the attached picture 'single line01.png'.  You need to unzip and then import the layout - see article
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/import-and-export-of-layouts-and-css-files

To set this as your default Content layout, that is for use in articles and the like, then select it in  Config - Plugins tab - Default layout: field  See pic 'single line02.png' below.

You might find this article helpful

PS there is no standard {place holder} for duration of an mp3 or other audio file.  But you could create a custom field to add that info. See
http://www.jdownloads.net/documentations/item/using-custom-fields
