Hi all, this is my first post here. Smiley
I still i didn't check the translation above, but i will do very soon and i will tell you if it's ok.
I was just sending the italian translation of front-end before reading this post.

i wanna take the opportunity to thank the developer, it's the best download management component for joomla 1.6/1.7, very good work, thank you!

Something to improve? maybe it would be great if it would be possible to upload by front-end several file types then only zip and rar ones.
Thank you! hear u soon

You can self set the allowed file types in the jD options.

You find all translation here on transifex:
https://www.transifex.net/projects/p/jd-i18n/teams/

for the italian language files is only missing a few keys in the :
it_IT.com_jdownloads.sys.ini
You are welcome to complete it.

The translation files on transifex are only for jD 1.9 (Joomla 1.6/1.7).

Just few lines missing: i find hard to translate "bullet path" and "Tux" parts. Pls, if someone could help,
thanks.

p.s.
what about joomla 2.5 version, does jdownloads will need next translation?
thanks again.

Hello,Where has you seen this? In what for a context?

The current translation files works also with Joomla 2.5...

i'm referring to file "jd-i18n_en-gbplg_content_jdownloadsfilelistini_it_IT.ini" in transifex, concerning the content plugin part. Can't say exactly, but starting from line 207 (more or less, it depends by editor) it says:
; LISTIMAGE="Bullet Path"
; LISTIMAGE_DESC="Relative path to where the image is allocated for use in bullet lists. If you leave the field blank will 'media/system/images/arrow.png'." Etc...

I know the meaning of "path" but can't understand what "bullet path" is. I used your component (in my 2 first joomla sites), but not the content plugin.

by the way, i'd like to solve the "debt" in donation as well as other O.S. communities, hope can do soon, don't expect to become rich Cheesy
(edit: I understand that "bullet path" refers to images, lists, etc... but can't find a right way to translate in italian. )

While, after downloading the file, i knew more about tux, who is tux merlin, web developer (supposed to love linux Smiley ). So all "tux blue, red, etc..." are just names for  templates.

Yes, literally it means "pallottola" which is the bullet of the gun, so it could be a bit strange if i will translate literally "bullet path" as "percorso della pallottola". So why i asked support to italian team. Maybe it refers to an icon image which is similar to a bullet. Anyway i didn't find any image like this in image files, maybe the correct translation is "palla" o "disco", in english "ball" or "circle".  Undecided
Thank u for support

At least i found it!  Smiley
And it was very simple: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bullet_(typography)
The italian meaning for bullet in typography is "punto elenco" which is very different from literal translation. And it make sense with image-list elements.
now jDownloads is available for italian speakers  Wink

Good message.
When the translation is ready, can you post here please a installation package for the download area?
I shall also insert the newer files in the jD 1.9 installation package.

Ok, i thought that it would needed more time, while, for module and plugin, language folders are more simple then component. So, in attachments to this post there are modules and plugin zip file. I just added the italian files into the original folder. I noticed that in the "Top Module" an italian translation already exists, so i haven't replaced the original.

I am not sure that this is useful for me. It is not easy to handle this.
A better solution is to publish only the language files in the download area.  Roll Eyes
