News: jDownloads Security Fix Published!
It is very recommended, that all jDownloads users makes a update to this fixed release. It exists for both Joomla versions separate as jD 1.8.3. & 1.9.1.

Hi!  I've upgraded to jDownloads 1.8.1 RC Build 822 today (running with Joomla 1.5.22).  I wanted to test in the frontend; Editor is JCE.  I am only able to "insert download" if I am logged in as a super admin.  Did I miss something, because I'd really love to give my registered users (especially publishers) the ability "insert downloads" from the front end?  Thanks!

Hi,
yes in the moment can only admins use the editor button plugin.
But i will seen what i can do.

I did look at the  JDownloads Links For JCE Advanced Link plugin.  I could possibly train my users, but the jDownloads "insert download" button would be much more user-friendly (and elegant)!  Hope you'll consider adding this feature.  Thanks!
