Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help with this.

Downloaded and installed version 1.6 and all appeared to go well, but when I try a test upload through the front end, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: str_ireplace() in root/components/com_jdownloads/jdownloads.php on line 1523

I have the downloads and tempzipfiles folders set to 777 and have also checked that the chown thing is the same for all files on the site...

Hello Ullaa,
sorry for the late answer. I have your post overlooked.  Embarrassed

The problem is, that you use a older PHP version on your Server (PHP 4.x). Normally the server are configured with PHP 5.x. Please contact your Hoster to change to a newer PHP 5.x version.
Also for the next coming Joomla releases must you have this.

For the moment, i send your a modified file. You can this copy over the original file on your server.
But you must first unzip it.
