Hi all, after some joomla update i don't see my files on frontend
the message is: No valid layout found for Categories!

Searching on google i've found many sites with same problem.. :(

This is my site: https://www.cavinato.com/it/download-it

Enabling a download all menu type it's ok:
https://www.cavinato.com/it/download-it/download-it-2

Some help ?
For some reason there was no layout set active in the Category secion of the layouts. Setting one of the layouts in that section active cured the problem  - Colin

Hi@blondie63

jD always requires a 'List All Categories' Menu type  - are you saying that one was not previously in place?  If you were showing a listing of a single category then it may have worked but now it would seem Joomla 3.10.2 has made a change that is affecting that route.
Just realised that you would of course have a multilingual site - even if you do not use or make available an Engish version.

So you need a 'List All Categories' Menu item in the Main Menu with language All as well as the 'language' menu.  See article

https://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/language-related/associations-multilingual-support#adding-menus

See also the section Hidding a Menu Item

Please let us know of that is what you did.
    --------

@adygrecu Is that also your situation?  Please advise

Hello. I tried too. We have created in the main menu the "'List All Categories" button valid for all languages ??even if the site is only in Romanian. It still does not work.
the site is this http://dadrarges.ro/new/index.php/en/vanzari-terenuri/oferte-vanzare
It is a site where land sale offers are posted which are divided for each month, all months are in the main category.
Do you have another idea?

Hi@adygrecuYou really did not have any layout selected in jd  Download layouts.  Now OK but suggest you update the Helix Mega Menu
@blondie63Adding the required List All Layouts cured you 'challenge'

I've added the menu item 'List All Categories' (now disabled) only to understand where is the problem
But really i need to have a menu item with one category only..

Is it still possible ?
  •

ColinM

Hi
Yes it is possible but you must have List All Categories menu item - but it can be hidden.  jD has to have the List All Cats item to use as the location
But You can have As many single cat menu items as you need
To see how to hide a menu item seehttps://www.jdownloads.net/documentation-for-v3-9/language-related/associations-multilingual-support#hidding-a-menu-item
Whilst tihis is a multilingual article the menu hiding bit is universl in Joomla!
Best wishesColin

Hi
There were two things

One is that there needed a List All Categories menu item (not a List all Downloads)
The second case is that for some reason there was no active Subcategories Layout enabled  -- needs a better message for user as it said "No Active Categories layout"
Will note for upgrade item
