In our server cpanel error log it says...
[Thu May 07 15:55:01.432670 2020] [core:crit] [pid 758] (13)Permission denied: [client xxxx] AH00529: /home/xxx/public_html/.htaccess pcfg_openfile: unable to check htaccess file, ensure it is readable and that '/home/xxx/public_html/' is executable
(IP address and path removed by admin)
