Title: All Downloads Listed after Frontend Delete
Post by: catchlightpro on 07.06.2019 18:19:22
Joomla  3.9.6
JDownloads 3.2.64
PHP 7.1.30LAMP

Whenever we delete a download from the frontend, the page loads a complete list of all downloads accessible to the logged in user (based on usergroup/access level), including public downloads of course.

To return the user to his private, logged-in area we have to provide a link for them in a side menu.

We would like the user to be taken back to the folder he was in prior to deleting the file.
How do we do this?
Thanks!

Hi
Not sure we can do this right now but will check.  Presently it returns to the Overview or List All Downloads on Deleting but on other actions it returns to the current page.  For reference we are working on a new major release.

Understand this only happens when a user in his area is editting a Download and chooses to delete it.
Could you perhaps give me a little more context by what you mean by Private Area.  Is it in List MyDownloads for instance? Or is it a specific sub category?

Hello Colin,

I should have used a phrase other than "private area". We are not using JDownloads "private file areas".   I simply meant a user with access to subfolders based on Joomla usergroup/access level.
Yes, this happens in subfolders where lower level folders are accessible by a subset of users with extended permissions like Delete. For these users we only set "Edit Own" so that they can only delete a file that they uploaded themselves.
